Absolutely loved Becky and Jon’s Midland Hotel Manchester Wedding. When we met them at a bar in Manchester to discuss everything, I knew how special their day was going to be.
We arranged a pre wedding shoot in the Didsbury area of Manchester to get a bit of practice in before the big day. We had a lovely walk round the park and chatted more about the wedding. The wedding was only a couple of weeks away so the excitement was well and truly kicking in.
Manchester Wedding
We met Becky at The Midland Hotel on the day of the wedding, where she was getting ready with her mother and bridesmaids. The lovely Michelle Sissons was doing the Hair and makeup for the girls. We got a few shots before making our way to the hotel entrance to meet Jon with his best man. We headed to the fantastic Alberts Schloss in the centre of Manchester for a couple of beers with Jon and the lads.
Back at the Midland Hotel, Becky looked absolutely stunning in her Maggie Sottero wedding dress. Time to get the show on the road!
Jon was cool as a cucumber stood at the front of the ceremony room. He had everyone in stitches as he waited for his wife to be to walk down the aisle. Sorting the music, making sure his nephew had the rings sorted. He definitely made sure everything was running smoothly.
It was a really lovely ceremony and the happiness on both Becky and Jon’s faces as they walked back up the aisle together as husband and wife was a joy to capture.
A walk round the city
After an epic confetti throw and a few group shots we had a little walk round the city of Manchester with the newly weds. There are so many great spots around the city for photographs, I love Manchester so much!
A few more drinks at the bar and some really fantastic speeches before the room got turned around for the evening celebrations. The fantastic Fun Time Frankies were the entertainment for the night. They started the night off with a bang with the first dance and the dance floor was soon packed with happy people dancing the night away to some really great music. I absolutely love this part of the wedding. I like to get into the thick of the action with my camera. This part of the night really does make for fun wedding photos.
Midland Hotel
The Midland hotel in Manchester has been part of the city for 115 years! Now I don’t know if this is true, but I heard that during World War 2, Hitler ordered the German bombers not to bomb the Midland hotel as he wanted this to be his Manchester base when he invaded Britain.
Anyway, back to 2019! The Midland Hotel is a fantastic venue for a Manchester city centre wedding. A grade II listed building that is filled with charm and character in a perfect location. We cant wait to photograph another wedding here soon.
