Hello, I’m Ally, I am an award winning wedding photographer based in Manchester, I also cover Lancashire, the North West, the Uk and anywhere on the planet really. My photography style is mainly documentary, which means I like to capture your wedding in a totally natural way. I work as unobtrusively as possible, blending in the background and creatively capturing those moments as they unfold throughout the day. Real smiles, Real laughter, Real emotion!
I tend not to follow any photography trends that come and go. I want your images to be timeless, so in years to come, when you and your family are looking through your wedding photos, those images will still look as special then as they do today. I approach weddings in a different way than a traditional style of wedding photography. I love to look out for those quirky moments, those random fun moments that make a wedding unique.

Natural wedding Photographer in Manchester
I feel very lucky to be a wedding photographer based in Manchester. I get to work in some great venues and also as a location photographer we have some stunning scenery around Manchester and around Lancashire where I like to take couples and families for lifestyle sessions.
As a local, I have an in-depth and detailed knowledge of the Manchester city centre and have seen it evolve and grow over the past 30 years. When you have been around the streets of Manchester for so many years, you can still find gorgeous urban landscapes of Manchester that many will never see. As well as being a wedding photographer, my other passion is within city lanscapeature and urban photography. This obsession has given me some good insight into planning photography for all clients including those wanting urban style photography for their special wedding day!
I have taken photos from all around Manchester‘s small but eclectic and diverse city centre.
Here are a few of my favourite venues for shooting weddings in Manchester.
The Lowry Hotel: As one of Manchester’s premier luxury hotels, The Lowry Hotel offers a modern, stylish and romantic setting for your special day.
The Town Hall Manchester: Offering the perfect balance of prestige and practicality, the Town Hall Manchester provides the most decadent and romantic wedding venue in the city centre.
Central Library: Combining historic architecture with cutting-edge design. The Central Library creates a unique setting for your perfect day and a venue I highly recommend!
Victoria Baths: A quirky wedding with a difference. A wedding in a huge drained swimming baths with lots of dramatic, unique spaces for photo opportunities.
Victoria Warehouse: A beautiful venue for a wedding. “The Bays” and “The cotton sheds” have a raw industrial aesthetic is that is ideal for both contemporary and traditional ceremonies.
Great John Street Hotel: A fantastic urban venue for a wedding. With its rooftop lounge and playground, its a fantastic venue for your wedding.
Radisson Hotel: A hotel in the heart of the city of Manchester. A beautiful building with photo opportunities of the city as a perfect backdrop.
Castlefield Rooms: Set in the Castlefield area of Manchester with its unique bridges and canals. Castlefield Rooms is a really unique venue to hold your wedding.
If you wanted to go a little further afield, a favourite place I like to go with couples and families alike is Rivington on the west Pennine moors on the outskirts of Horwich and Bolton. With its Beautiful reservoirs and Victorian gothic architecture surrounded by woodland. Check here to a recent pre-wedding shoot I did up Rivington.
Being a Manchester wedding photographer gives me the opportunity to capture weddings in these stunning venues / locations.
