Same Sex Wedding
Nicola & Laura’s Same Sex Wedding Lancashire was a fantastic celebration of two people in love. I first spoke to Nicola on the phone, she described how they were going to have a slightly different wedding from the norm. They were to get legally married at Bury registry office and then would be heading to Belmont Sailing Club in Bolton, Lancashire for a Humanist ceremony and to celebrate their wedding with friends and family.
We met them before the big day to go over the finer details. On the day of the wedding Nicola and Laura looked absolutely stunning in their dresses. The ceremony at the venue was just beautiful. Lots of tears and emotion from everybody there, the love these two have for each other was just a joy to capture. During the ceremony the sun started to shine and it turned out to be a beautiful summers day.We got some really lovely shots of the newly weds together next to the reservoir before making our way inside for food. African barbecue was the cuisine for the day. The guy who provided all the food is a real character who has a stall on Bolton market. He actually give a great speech before serving the food which had everyone in great spirits. His food is to die for! If you are ever in Bolton you just have to try it.
After food and some emotional speeches the sun started to go down and the music got turned up as the band played for Nicola and Laura’s fantastic first dance. The dance floor soon started to fill up with everyone dancing the night away.
Belmont Sailing Club
It’s not your typical venue for a wedding but what a great idea Nicola and Laura had to have their wedding here. Set alongside a picturesque reservoir and the Lancashire countryside it really is a lovely, intimate venue for a wedding. We would love to capture another wedding here someday.
“The photos are amazing, we totally relived the day through them and love the emotions you’ve captured thank you so much.” 😊
